Meet the Team
Driven By Relationship
The heart of MGK is people. If you want to visit MGK, we wouldn’t take you to the resource center. We wouldn’t show you our most successful project. We wouldn’t show you a plant or a mud stove, we would take you out to the village. We would sit down on the porch among people….our friends. MGK exists to help create networks of people in order to create ripples of reconciliation throughout the social fabric. Relationships provide the context where resources and hope can merge. The basis of redeeming synergy is found in loving our neighbor.

Adamo: Driver and Milk Delivery

Adamo is a rock-solid guy. He was born and raised in Nomba. He plays a key role at MGK by distributing milk in town for sale, driving the transport truck and keeping a few other nameless individuals out of trouble!!!
Alexandra: Shepherd

Alexandra is MGK’s shepherd. Most days you can find him out in the pasture with our dairy cows and goats. Alexandra knows his flock well enough that he can tell everyone the name of each animal, who is pregnant and who is grumpy today!!

Jaimito: Breeder & Builder

Jaimito’s nickname is Mr. Mbanga (a very hard, durable indigenous tree). Jaimito is one of the managers of MGK and oversees resources and projects involving chickens, rabbits, and appropriate technology.
João: Thatcher & Builder

João has been with MGK for a long time. He is an expert thatcher and builder….not to mention he is pretty good with a paint brush.
Lucky: General Manager of MGK

MGK is lucky to have Lucky. This guy is gold. He is one of MGK’s managers and oversees all of the work done at the resource center.
Maria: Cook

Maria and her family are some of our most beloved at MGK. She and her mother, “Anganga” (grandmother) have been respected neighbors and friends of MGK since it’s inception.
Wawasma: Thatcher & Tractor Driver

Wawasma came to MGK in 2008. He has been an awesome source of inspiration for the community here. He helps drive the tractor down at the farm and also is a master thatcher. This guy has gumption!!!
