Fast Protein and Contagious Giving

At MGK we have a philosophy that we attempt to express through every project initiated here. As we have received good things in a hard world, so we are required to give to our neighbor.

We are breeding rabbits at our resource center. Beginning this year, we have had the opportunity to give. After building a rabbit hutch in their own homes, interested families received a pair of rabbits to begin their own breeding program. Our only requirement is that one the pair has their first liter, they are required to give a pair to a neighbor.

Rabbits are an awesome source of protein since they breed so quickly and their gestation period is short. Since starting this program, numerous families in Nomba have received rabbits. Even more exciting, more families have received rabbits from the first recipients.
