MGK is bursting with new ideas and dreams. These dreams are germinating organically from the very people we’re here to serve. However, they only lack the resources to accomplish them. Through our partnership we can be the catalyst for change! Please join us in the beautiful act of creating life and shaping our world.

We are always working to replenish the resources that we use to distribute to families here on the farm so general donations are appreciated. However, if you’re wanting to fund a specific project then here are the things on our wish list for Nomba.

Tangible Ways To Help

A public library

cost: $7
We have already received substantial donations to start the library project but we’re a long way away from filling the library to maximum capacity. Each book costs on average $7 USD. The goal is 5000 books!! Our vision for the children of Nomba village is a place for them to come and read, receive computer training, and once a week have the opportunity to learn English.

Goats

cost: $110
A billy and nanny will be given to a family within a co-op. This will give them a sustainable income and means of food production.

Chickens

cost: $7
Each Family will receive training and 4 chickens to raise at home in order to create income.

Fish

cost: $45 for 50 fish
After receiving training and digging a tank, co-ops can receive 50 fish that will triple within the first year giving them the opportunity for a boosted income and food supply.

Rabbits

cost: $8 each
Male and Female rabbits will be given to a family with the agreement that they in turn give their first male and female offspring to another local family.

Mosquito Nets

cost:$7 each
Malaria is a huge killer within our country so we try to help supply netting, giving families the chance to sleep in a secure environment.

Seed Press

cost: $1700
The resource center has a place where people can come press their sunflower seeds to make cooking oil or their soy to make milk or their jatropha to make lantern oil. However, our press recently broke due to over-use.. which is not a bad thing!! So we’d like to get an industrial press to be able to help more people takeadvantage of their resources.
